C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de M. Lionel Henri Génier, décédé le 17 septembre 2023, à l'âge de 85 ans.

Époux bien aimé de feu Jacqueline (née Patenaude) Génier.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants; Robert Génier (Josée Boily), Donald Génier (Lisette née Brouillette), Stephane Génier (Kathleen née Hunter) et feu Denis Génier, ses petits-enfants; Saralyn Génier (Mathieu Cumming), Joel Génier (Josée Sweeney), Alex Génier, Irena Génier et Alexana Génier, son arrière-petite-fille; Valérie Génier, sa sœur; Lorraine, sa belle-sœur; Jeannine, ainsi que plusieurs cousin(e)s, nièces, neveux, ami(e)s et membres de famille.

Prédécédée par ses parents Toussaint et Marie (née Richer) Génier, ainsi par ses frères et sœurs; Noëlla, Yvette, Thérèse, Gertrude, Jean-Louis et Rénald.

La famille tient à remercier l'Hôpital Général d’Ottawa pour ses soins et compassion.

 

Un service privé aura lieu à une date ultérieure.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Lionel Henri Génier, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 85.

Loving husband of the late Jacqueline (née Patenaude) Génier.

Beloved father of Robert Génier (Josée Boily), Donald Génier (Lisette née Brouillette), Stephane Génier (Kathleen née Hunter) and the late Denis Génier.

Adored grandfather of Saralyn Génier (Mathieu Cumming), Joel Génier (Josée Sweeney), Alex Génier, Irena Génier and Alexana Génier.

Cherished great-grandfather of Valerie Génier.

Dear brother of Lorraine. And brother-in-law of Jeannine

Lionel will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Toussaint and Marie (née Richer) Génier. Also predeceased by his siblings, Noëlla, Yvette, Thérèse, Gertrude, Jean-Louis et Rénald.

The family would like to thank the Ottawa General Hospital for their compassion and care.

 

A Private service will be held at a later date.

 

Donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
