It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Ballantyne, on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, at the age of 32.

Robert is survived by his wife Amanda Ballantyne (née Belsito Deschamps); his parents Paula Renault Winter (Trevor Winter) and Bob Ballantyne (Andi Ballantyne); his grandparents Fred and Linda Ballantyne; Doug and Beth Renault, and Gord and Marilyn Pow; his sisters Lisa (Dan Gale) and Ayla; his brothers Brock and Brody; his aunts Jackie Wilson (Donny), Angela Fairbairn (Shawn), Lori Ballantyne-Finelli (Tony Finelli); his niece Emily Gale; his nephews Elliott Gale and Emrys Gale; his mother-in-law Tammy Deschamps (Richard); his father-in-law Steve Belsito, his sister-in-law Samantha Laveau; and his sister-in-law Ricky Jenson.

Predeceased by his grandmother Sue Renault and by his sister Natasha.

Robbie played football for St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in Russell and was passionate about body building.

He will be lovingly remembered by his big heart, the love he shared for his beloved cats Shady and Lilfoot, and his impressive accuracy for being able to recite movie lines verbatim.

A Celebration of Rob’s Life will be held at a later date.
